Rubicon Dance has been at the forefront of Community Dance in Wales for the past 47 years. The legacy of people who have experienced dance in our building and beyond is immense and they thrive in a world that is very uncertain at times. Unfortunately, over the past few weeks a serious financial issue has been uncovered by the Board and a newly appointed Senior Leadership Team of Rubicon Dance. Following a successful first course in July 2021 Coleg Sir Gâr, Rubicon Dance and Wales Wide Training Programme are running a second short course in Arts and Health Awareness which is online and free to those who are eligible for PLA funding (Personal Learning Account) through Welsh Assembly Government. Rubicon Dance's new Active Dancing with Parkinson's session is for people who want a more intense and challenging session than a standard Dance for Parkinson's class. It is aimed at people with Parkinson's that lead an active life, including those with Young Onset. All content in the session will be modifiable and tailored to each participant to ensure a fun experience for all. Read more

Rubicon Dance in partnership with The Royal Ballet School, are thrilled to announce the launch of a new Primary Steps centre in Cardiff. The first centre in Wales, this partnership will bring the Primary Steps programme to six new schools, in addition to the 28 participating schools across England. Read more
We are absolutely thrilled to have won the Dance Advocacy Award for Wales Wide Training Programme, a programme managed by Rubicon since it was established in 2013. WWTP is supported by Arts Council of Wales and has twenty partners involved in the programme and a database of three hundred people working in dance across Wales. Read more
To celebrate our 45th anniversary, all staff and board members of Rubicon will be moving for 45 miles over 45 days starting on the 1st of September. That’s right, we will be dancing, walking, swimming or even running 1 mile for each of the 45 years of Rubicon’s success. Read more
Rubicon is pleased to announce the start of a new partnership with Black Artists in Dance (B.A.i.D) an organisation that exists to create a physical and digital platform that responds to the educational and professional needs of those working within the dance industry. B.A.i.D aims to showcase the contribution that black dancers, artists and academics make to the development of dance, specifically within the UK. Read more
