Our three sessions in contemporary dance are a great way to learn about the principles of weight and spirals through a dynamic release-based class. Our classes incorporate floor work, energetic phrases as well as creative investigation and we encourage people to learn and enjoy dance in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Beginners Contemporary

In the beginner level session, dancers will gain knowledge of the basic foundations for contemporary dance, and work on developing technical and creative skills through set sequences and improvisation.

Intermediate/Advanced Contemporary

The next step is our lively and energetic intermediate/advanced session which builds upon these skills by exploring complex combinations and high-level phrases.

Over 55's Contemporary

A contemporary dance class for people over 55 aiming to rekindle that love for moving in and through space, as well as reconnecting with your body. You will be guided through combinations of spirals, swings, shifts of weight, changes of direction and moments of conversation and laughter. Join us! 

For contemporary sessions, dancers should wear comfortable clothing, bring plenty of water and are invited to bring layers to wear during warm ups and cool downs if they wish.
