Call-out for dance leaders for 50th anniversary expansion
Rubicon Dance is looking to make new connections with inspiring dance leaders to join our growing pool of creative facilitators
Rubicon Dance is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026 and we have exciting plans to continue expanding the scope of our programme over the course of the year. We are therefore looking to make new connections with inspiring dance leaders to join our growing pool of creative facilitators who support our work in Cardiff and southeast Wales.
We have an immediate need for support with our in-house GCSE provision, however we are also very keen to hear from dance practitioners with a wide range of experience of delivery in many specialist areas, and in many different dance styles.
We are currently developing and delivering participatory activities across several programme areas:
• Health & Wellbeing – including work based in hospitals and other care settings;
• Education – including GCSE, BTEC and Arts Awards;
• Community Sessions – including for children, adults, and within community projects
We welcome practitioners from all dance backgrounds, including (but not limited to) contemporary, commercial, street, traditional dance forms, creative movement, and inclusive dance practice. As the oldest community dance company in Wales, we are particularly keen to support wider representation of the many varied dance cultures and traditions across the sector.
We are interested in hearing from artists with different levels of experience in formal and informal dance delivery, so if you’re passionate about high-quality dance practice, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact through movement, then we would love to hear from you.
Simply send your CV with a very short summary about your experience and professional interests info@rubicondance.co.uk.
