Perceptions 2022 at the Dolman, Newport was a success!  An enormous thanks is extended to The Principality Building Society for sponsoring the event.  Rubicon would also like to extend its gratitude and thanks Terry Beck (USA) choreographer and performance artist who collaborated with the second-year students on their dance theatre piece entitled – 144 which focused on the impact and legacy of the Aberfan disaster and Helen Woods who worked on vocal training for the production.

It was great to share the dance platform with our GCSE students and the youth performance group and the Rubicon Dance Company.  Thanks to all the guest performers and artists for participating in our dance showcase.

As the summer term draws to a close our young dancers look to the next step in their progression and future careers.  Currently, the students are finishing off their academic studies for the summer term by focusing on networking and promotion.  They have been fortunate to have access to Wales Wide Training; the Rubicon Company classes; access to the centre evening classes and our community programme.  The students have also been creating promotional dance for camera films, experiencing ‘Hot Yoga’, and external classes led by ‘Love Dance’, Diasuke Miura and Zosia Dowmunt.
