Last night Rubicon’s BTEC students performed at the beautiful Senedd building for Arts @ the Senedd. Run by Arts & Business Cymru in partnership with Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas AM, the Welsh Government’s Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism, this regular event brings live art and performance into the public spaces of the Senedd.

Our students performed Colloquy, a piece choreographed by Marcus Jarrell-Willis which explores connectivity between people and the irregularities of language. It was particularly special to perform the piece on world ballet day and at this long running event which shows just how important art and culture are to bring people together. The amazing setting of the Senedd only added to its impact.

At the end of the evening, 30 members of Only Boys Aloud’s Cardiff and Cwmbran choirs performed two songs: Anfonaf Angel by Robat Arwyn and You Will be Found from the musical Dear Evan Hansen. They were both brilliant renditions which moved the audience.

Rubicon were delighted to be a part of the evening and to perform in the amazing setting of the Senedd alongside our good friends from Only Boys Aloud.
